All Hands on Deck: Building Miami’s Latest and Greatest Sales Pavilion
In the workplace, one often hears about the importance of collaboration—coming together as a team to bring about the best possible result.
Without our close collaboration on The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami’s Sales Pavilion, we would not have been able to bring this project to life. Even when writing this very blog, it felt wrong for one of us to take ownership over the other, as we’ve been working so closely together since this project’s inception.
Both of us come from unique backgrounds. We each received our education and training at institutions and firms across the globe, and as fate would have it, we’ve now ended up at Swire together after walking our respective paths, both determined to deliver the best sales experience Miami has ever seen.
In working together, we’ve found that we have much in common, and we pride ourselves in displaying relentlessness, tenacity, and adaptability in our work. In collaborating with our greater team, we were able to bring the vision behind the Sales Pavilion to life, offering visitors a glimpse into what the future Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, will look like. We can confidently assert this indicates Swire’s commitment to the “unexpected” moments of delight, as we’ve gone above and beyond the standard expectations one might have for a typical sales gallery experience.
Many sales galleries in Miami are offsite, creating a physical disconnect from their respective projects and sometimes an ideological disconnect as well. It is here that our differentiation starts, as The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami’s Sales Pavilion, is onsite and only a short walk away (through a verdant oasis, we might add) from where the new Mandarin Oriental Hotel will stand.
The Sales Pavilion is a collaboration between our global design partners, Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), Tristan Auer, Laura Gonzalez, and SHMA, who all contributed their unique touches to properly set the stage for The Residences’ debut in 2029. Using Biscayne Bay as our muse, we wanted our guests to feel like they were on an island. From the moment they step foot inside, guests are welcomed into a harmonious, flowing space that encourages wandering around and exploring all its details – a design that serves as a nod to the water feature the Sales Pavilion seemingly floats atop and the beautiful water surrounding it.
We look forward to seeing the public’s reaction to our hard work. We know we’ve delivered a true gem that stands out in this vibrant city, and we’re proud to work for a company that’s become so synonymous with this standard of excellence.
